Social representations of undergraduates in Physical Education about the environment and the relation man, sport and nature
Abstract
This study aims to identify and analyze the social representations from baccalaureate students in Physical Education about the environment and the relationship between man, sport and nature. Thirty-four academics, from both sexes, participated in the free association test. The results indicated that social representations about the environment are associated with naturalistic elements, while the relation man, sport and nature are associated to the student’s area of performance and regional sports practices. Pedagogical interventions that focus on the environment are perceived as necessary, as well as the relation man, sport and nature.
